Lucknow: A “Hygiene Corner was inaugurated under the Swachhta Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” in the Department of Social Work, Lucknow University by the Vice Chancellor, Lucknow University, Prof. Alok Kumar Rai. The purpose of setting up the Hygiene Corner was to create a clean and healthy environment in the university campus and surrounding communities.
The Chief Guest of the program, Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University, Prof. Alok Kumar Rai said that under the Swachhta Seva Sankalp Abhiyan by the Department of Social Work, it was announced that the department would soon set up a Hygiene Corner in the university and the community in collaboration with Dettol India, the first phase of which has been completed by setting up a Hygiene Corner in the Department of Social Work.
The Department of Social Work is constantly working in collaboration with the community and various sections of the society. Organizing this program in compliance with the orders of the Government of India is a very commendable initiative. Prof. Rakesh Dwivedi, Head of the Department of Social Work, said that the Department of Social Work is committed to working on various issues related to the community and the community and the department and research centre will organize various types of activities throughout the year.
